Former Los Angeles Lakers point guard Derek Fisher is in the process of finalizing a contract in Oklahoma City. Fisher was seen at OKC's Will Rogers World Airport early this morning. He was talking to Thunder GM Sam Presti and other members of the Thunder front office about the contract. Fisher is now in the final negotiations with the Thunder on a contract that would bring him to the Western Conference top contender.
Oklahoma City does not have an open spot so the team would need to release a player to make room for Derek Fisher, who has five world championships in his belt.
Thunder forward Kevin Durant labeled Fisher, "a Thunder guy", when it comes to character and leadership during an interview with reporters before they will have the game against the Utah Jazz. At that time, Durant refuse to speculate if the contract will be successfully closed or not.
