Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade and New Jersey Nets point guard Deron Williams will not play this Monday night's game because of injuries.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra told us that Wade was being given a day off as a maintenance strategy for a right ankle injury that has put him in the sideline a couple of times. The All-Star player had 28 points and nine assists in a victory over the Knicks on Sunday.
Williams injured his right calf on Saturday night in a game won by Boston. With backup Jordan Farmar out with a groin injury, Sundiata Gaines started for the Nets.
